Gideon M Gelber AIA

Gideon Gelber has over 25 years of experience practicing architecture and interior design in New York City.  His work has been featured in national publications, broadcast television programs, and has been anthologized in a number of books.  He is respected for his expertise in 19th and 20th century decorative arts and technical color theory.

From the total renovation of a 40-unit, 50,000 sq. ft. apartment building, to the construction of a 10,000 sq. ft. Long Island beach house, to the design of an award-winning 550 sq. ft. studio apartment, large or small, Gideon's unconventional eye and uncompromising attention to detail unites his portfolio.

Before striking out on his own in 2005, Gideon spent 9 years at BarlisWedlick Architects in New York City. In addition to practicing architecture, Gideon founded their interior design practice and helped grow the firm from a 3-person office to one of the nation’s most respected residential firms.

Gideon holds a degree in Architecture (B. Arch.) from Cornell University and is a registered architect in New York and New Jersey.
